1. About the Game

Like the Maxis SimCity, successfully building a city isn't just a matter of building things. You have to control funding, citizen's faith in you, crime, and more.

SimCity constantly updates you your progress, with Citizen polls on how they see you, headlines, and at the conclusion of each year Financial Reports.

In other words, it requires strategy and planning.

This is the game's main screen. Up the top is the navigation menu, for Loading/Saving your game, and the exit button. On the top right it tells you what your mouse is over. For example, if your cursor is over a road, it will display road. Underneath is the Date and Year. Each Month is 3 seconds long. There is also a population counter, and a money counter.

This pop-up will be shown at the conclusion of each year. It displays the population, your tax income, your station funding (subtracted from your tax funding), how much you made last year, and the total for this year.

The Headlines screen, shown mid year (June) gives you an indication of what the citizens think of you, and headlines can show you what you need to improve.

Occasionally you may see this menu pop up. This is another place where citizen's complain about urgent matters. Don't ignore these, as, often leaving them, will cause some of your citizen's to leave!

2. Loading/Saving

SimCity includes 1 load/save slot. To save your game, simply click save game in the top menu. To load, click load game, and your buildings and all figures will be restored.

EDITING SAVE FILE

DO NOT attempt to alter the save file (save.dat in SaveData directory). Doing so can cause your city to become corrupt.

These are the risks:
      * You may lose some buildings
      * Population, Money, or Date count may be wrong
      * You may corrupt it to the extent it cannot be loaded (you receive a fatal error)
